Imagine a world that flourishes with you, around you, beyond you. A world in which you are fully yourself. It is within reach.
More than ever, we are realizing, as individuals, as a civilization, and as a species, that we must live in symbiosis with the planet that shelters us. That we need each other to move forward. That the only thing that will save us is ourselves, armed with our ingenuity, our will, and our community spirit.
While decopunk and brutalism are the aesthetic tenets of STATEMENT, craftsmanship, sustainability, and fairness are at its heart. If we had a literary genre, it would be solarpunk, this utopia of a world powered by renewable energy and a balance between humanity and nature.
Solarpunk is the fusion of beauty and functionality, nature and technology. A symbiosis, not resources to be exploited. It's thoughtful design, in which metal and concrete are reconciled with nature. These are cities nourished by the sun, silhouetted against azure skies. It's a humanity that looks to the future instead of fearing it.
As a brand, we champion this vision of a bright future for current and future generations in every aspect of our work. What we do isn't about escaping the challenges of the present, but rather about improving it. To augment it, in a way, with all the tools at our disposal.
It's about daring, but never at the expense of others. It's about taking a leap forward, together. It's about working tirelessly to build a better future, because the alternative would be to give in to denial or despair... and that's clearly not STATEMENT's way of being.
In the words of British artist Jay Springett, “The goal of solarpunk is to deprogram the apocalypse.”
