Throwing shade: a subtle dialogue of black diamonds and rhodium

See the moon high in the night sky? Its beautiful light is made all the brighter by the velvet darkness around it.

But as the work of Pierre Soulages shows, becoming accustomed to the obscurity reveals a depth that few suspect. In jewelry, this holds true.

Black diamonds are a rarity, created when extreme heat at the heart of the stone turns its radiance into an array of glittering blacks. Such subtle colours are overpowered by the blinding radiance of precious metals. That’s where black rhodium becomes the ideal playmate, creating gradient shading for a dialogue between metal and stone.

Incarnated in STATEMENT’s designs, a reminder that we too are made of light and shadows.
